Supporting the make-up department at the "Schmidts Tivoli" for the musical "Heiße Ecke". The most successful German musical “Heiße Ecke” celebrated its 20th birthday in 2023. No other German in-house production has been performed for longer. Since then, countless sausages have been grilled here and served with a large portion of heart, snark and humor at the most famous snack bar on the Reeperbahn. The production has now delighted 2.8 million guests in over 5100 shows.

Every evening, nine members of the ensemble slip into over 50 roles in quick changes backstage at the Reeperbahn Theater “Schmidts Tivoli” and take you on a breathtaking 24-hour show at the neighborhood snack bar “Heiße Ecke”.

Wigs, beards and even chest hair toupees have to be put on and taken off in seconds. And all of this is supervised by just one make-up artist before and during the show. So every move needs to be on point.

The whole of St. Pauli comes together at Hannelore and her crew's bar: the light girls and the heavy boys, the tourists before a visit to the musical and the dustmen after their shift, the party people from the suburbs who really want to let it rip, and the Kiez veterans who have long since had enough but still can't get away from the weirdest mile in the Republic. Rough banter, heartfelt stories and great songs in a show that shows the normal madness around the Reeperbahn.
